saving data on Pro9000 Hard drive

Hi,

I have a problem with transfering midi data from my PC to Yamaha pro9000 Hard Drive(4 GB). It only takes 157 files and says the disk is full. there's 2 GB of 2 partitions.
what I understand is pro.9000 formats in Fat16 format, where as the PC windows Xp is in NTFS.
1st my mass storage device shows only for few seconds on the computer and then goes off.need to know how many files can one store in pro9000 Hard drive. and how to transfer it
