WAVE - Advanced Modular Wavetable Synthesizer

The WAVE by Waldorf Electronics represents the logical refinement of Wavetable synthesis, with the utmost consideration for a clear, concise and intuitive user interface. In addition, the WAVE has been conceived to be completely modular in its hardware. Options for soft- and hardware extensions allow for an even greater flexibility, putting the WAVE, as its predecessor, the MicroWave, into the best position to become a classic.

FEATURES :

Comprehensive Synthesis with enormous modulation capabilities
16,32 to 48 voices, each with 2 Oscillators, 2 Wavetable generators plus 1 Noise generator, Osc. Mixer, Multimode Filter, Amplifier, Panorama, 2 Aux Sends, 2 LFOs (6 shapes each), ADSR Amplifier envelope, DADSR Filter envelope, 8 Stage Time/Level Wave envelope, 4 Stage Time/Level Free envelope, Control Mixer, Control Shaper, Control Delay, Control Sample&Hold and Control Comparator.

Intuitive User Interface
480x64 Pixel backlight LC Display, 54 knobs, 8 faders, 83 buttons and 9 data increment dials. Most elements have dedicated functions.

Expressive Masterkeyboard Functions and Performance Controllers
The 61-key keyboard, Pitch- and Modulation wheels, programmable Freewheel, two Playbuttons, 2 Transposition Buttons, Sustain Pedal, 2 freely assignable foot pedals and 8 Performance Faders plus the 2 Midi Outputs and it's ability to control up to 32 external devices make the WAVE ideally suited as a masterkeyboard.

Sophisticated Edit Functions
The WAVE not only allows you to edit each Performance and Sound Program (256 each) stored in its battery-backed memory, it also enables you to edit and create your own Wavetables and Waves as well. Moreover, you can analyze and convert audio samples into Wavetables, generate waves by FM algorithms and much more.

Built-In Floppy Drive
All Data, Sounds and Performances of the WAVE can be saved on the built-in MS-DOS compatible HD floppy drive. All data formats can be stored and recalled separately, and naturally sysex data of other MIDI equipment can also be archived. A built-in database system lets you create archives of Sounds and Performances.

Future Expandability
The WAVE can be expanded in software as well as by hardware. 2 voice card slots allow upgrading from 16 to 32 or 48 voices. Furthermore, two Option-Slots are availabe to hold future hardware modules that will make the WAVE even more universal and powerful.

Custom Line
Order the Wave in different colours or with a 76-key keyboard.
