WaveLab 3.0 is the fastest audio editing and mastering software available for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT and Windows 2000. It combines the most user-friendly stereo editor currently available with a whole range of processing capabilities, effects, Red-Book compatible CD burning software, audio analysis, an audio file database, batch processing and sampler support. In addition, WaveLab 3.0 goes even further with the introduction of its new Audio-Montage Window - a revolutionary, non-destructive editing concept whose flexibility and power set it firmly apart from other audio software solutions. WaveLab´s true multi-tasking concept allows processing and background calculations to be done during playback. 32-bit floating point accuracy ensures both clarity of sound and freedom from distortion. WaveLab 3.0 can also handle audio files with up to 24-bit, 96 kHz resolution. The Batch processor performs all off-line functions from both WaveLab 3.0 and from any installed Plug-Ins. Any number of processors and Plug-Ins can be included in a batch process and it works quietly away in the background, while you continue working as normal. The database manages, organizes and categorizes all audio files residing on all hard disks connected to your computer system, and also those on CD ROMs. WaveLab 3.0´s unique Audio Montage Window represents a new dimension in file handling. Audio clips can be arranged non-destructively and in real time - on as many tracks as you like. Crossfades are generated simply by sliding two clips together. Up to 10 VST effects can be assigned to each clip. For the final enhancements WaveLab 3.0 has everything you could possibly need: high quality parametric EQs, comprehensive dynamics, special hi-end algorithms for optimizing the overall loudness, plus analysis tools such as high resolution peak/VU meters, a 60-band analyzer and 2D correlation meter and much more - all working in real time of course.
