Liquid Audio Setup

Liquid Audio allows you to publish your music to the internet where it can be downloaded, listened to, and purchased. It is composed of two parts: the Liquid Music player which is used to download and listen to files, and the Liquifier, which is used to create the "Liquified" audio files and transmit them to the internet for storage and playback.

Installing Liquid Audio
The Roland Music Showcase CD contains the Liquid Audio software in both PC and Mac formats:

PC Installation

  1. Insert the CD into your computer.
  2. Start the Windows Explorer and locate your CD drive.
  3. Double click on "Player Installer.exe" and follow the instructions to install the application.
  4. After the Player is installed, double click on "Liquifier Installer.exe" and follow the instructions.
  5. If you wish to copy data from a CD to your hard drive, double click on the "CD Copy Installer.exe" icon and follow the instructions to install the application.
MAC Installation

Note: You should wait to install the Liquifier software until you are ready to publish your sound files to the internet. The 30 day trial period begins as soon as you install this application.

The Player allows you to download and play back files from your hard disk or from the internet. Use the following procedure to play back the demo songs on the Roland Music Showcase CD:

  2. Select File/Open and double click on the "Extras" folder on the CD.
  3. Double click on the "Player Example Files" folder and select one of the three files. Click on Open, the player will load the song and playback will begin.
  4. Click on the buttons on the lower right side of the screen to display lyrics and other information.
Using the Liquifier Software
Once you have a song you wish to publish on your computer's hard drive, you can use the Liquifier software to prepare and transmit it to the Liquid Audio Website:

After that, you will need to contact Liquid Audio and obtain a full version serial number.
  3. There are several windows that are used to create and publish the finished file. Please view the "StartHere.html" and the "Liquifier Pro User's Guide" on your Roland Music Showcase CD for for complete operating instructions.
