Roland MS-1 Digital Sampler

Loading Sounds and Demos from a PCMCIA Card

Roland MS-1 Sampler

Use the instructions below to load demos into the A and B Internal Banks of the MS-1.
This procedure will erase all sound and sequence data presently in the MS-1's internal memory.
Refer to the MS-1 Owner's Manual, Chapter 7 or Chapter 9, for instructions on saving data to a PCMCIA card or via MIDI.

  1. Turn off the MS-1.
  2. Insert the PCMCIA Card into the card slot.
  3. Turn on the MS-1.
  4. Press UTILITY.
  5. Scroll with the right or left cursor arrow buttons until you get to the Load:BUF__ screen.
  6. Select the backup file that you want to load with the - or + buttons.
  7. After selecting the backup file that you want press YES. The MS-1 will count down from eight and the screen will come back to Bank A.
  8. The backup file should now be loaded and accessible from either the pad or sequence mode of the MS-1.
  9. To play the sequence press SEQ, then press the Play pad.
